Multilevel modeling with daily diaries and Experience Sampling Data. Towards understanding heterogeneity in developmental processes
Many developmental processes, such as parenting influences on a child’s well-being, take place within the lives of single individuals and may differ from person to person. Yet, quite often the analytical approach is to focus on estimates of differences between persons (e.g., correlations, regression, or structural equation modelling on large scale samples). In this presentation, I will provide examples of how analyzing daily diaries and ESM data with multilevel features of Mplus, may help to unravel the wide heterogeneity of daily processes at the within-person level.
